2020 HHS Hawks Touchdown Booster Club Board
please join us on Tuesday, Nov 12 at 7pm to vote-in the following board:

Liz Dahl
for President
BIO:
I was born and raised in Gilbert and I am a proud Hawks Alumni. I love that my children get to go to the same school their parents went to and that my son, Brayden, gets to play on the same football field as his dad. I have been married for 18 years and have 5 children. Three of my children are attending Highland this year. I run a part time Cosmetology business and organize and execute a large holiday boutique each December.
EXPERIENCE:
I have worked closely with board members over the past 3 years, although I have never had the opportunity to be a board member. This past year, I collected and typed up all of the information for the team roster. I participated in fundraising, worked in the concession stand, and helped sell shirts. I have been working with Coach Farrel on branding the locker room and football portable to elevate team spirit. I have been the coordinator for a Saturday breakfast and helped with two after parties.
I am part of a committee that puts together an annual four day retreat for hundreds of teenage girls every summer, which includes large group meetings and trainings. I also work with and teach youth on a weekly basis.
I have been running and coordinating a large holiday boutique for the past seven years. As part of running the boutique, I manage large groups of vendors, manage funds, and coordinate layout, work shifts, and advertising. Through this venture, I have learned to collaborate with both vendors and customers.
I also have a valid fingerprint clearance card.
ENHANCEMENTS:
I have watched the current booster club members work tirelessly to create a successful program this year. I would love to help create more opportunities to grow unity between the three teams. I think it would be great if we were able to truly come together to “protect our nest”, and to support the players, Coach Farrel and all of the coaches. I want to help make the Hawks Football Field be a place fans and community member will want to be on Friday nights!

Rob Singleton
for Vice President
BIO:
I am a father of four and at least one of my children has attended Highland for the past five years. My son, Tate, has been involved in the Highland Football program since 2009. I am an attorney at one of the largest law firms in the country.
EXPERIENCE:
As an commercial litigator, I counsel clients on a variety of complex legal and business issues – which will be a benefit to the Booster Club. Further, as an attorney I work with well with people to negotiate resolutions to the benefit of all concerned. Additionally, I have been involved with youth groups for the past 7 years to help organize a variety of activities and get young men involved in those activities.
As a member of the booster club, I have contributed time and money to the benefit of Booster Club and the football team. I have worked the concession stand, helped with team breakfast, and been involved in the team after parties. I also sponsored a foursome at the golf tournament and participated in fund raising activities.
ENHANCEMENTS:
This past year’s Booster Club, and in particular the board, has worked hard to develop a great organization. I would like to continue that effort. I would like see the football community continue to grow closer and Friday nights be “the place to be” not just for the team, students, and parents but for all those in the Highland community. I think there are additional revenue streams that can be tapped to help grow the program, including community/alumni outreach, additional corporate sponsors, tail-gating activities, and other fund raising activities. Additionally, I would also like to work with the coaching staff and team to create more of a team environment than we have ever see.

Lisa Whitmore
for Secretary
BIO:
I grew up in Mesa and my husband and I have been blessed to raise our family in Gilbert for the past 17 years. My husband, Trevor, and I have 4 children and a beautiful grandaughter. All of our children have grown up in Gilbert Public Schools and our three oldest have all graduated from Highland. I have met many wonderful Highland families over the years as we’ve supported our children in Highland Band, Orchestra, Student Council, Volleyball and Football. Our son has played football at Highland for 2 years and will be a Junior next year. I’ve had several opportunities to coordinate pregame meals for his team and truly enjoy being with them. It’s been a pleasure to feed these boys who are respectful, thankful and hungry! I have also worked in the concession stand and have participated in other fundraising events.
EXPERIENCE:
I’m excited to serve in the position of secretary because I am organized and detail-oriented. I understand the importance of good record keeping and communicating correct information to parents. Technology is amazing and we are so lucky to be able to use this website to convey information. I am a quick learner and hope to continue to get information out there in the best way possible! I also have experience in planning and executing large community and church events. I know that careful planning results in successful events.
ENHANCMENTS:
In my opinion, the strength of this program is in the wonderful families at Highland. That includes the football team family that our coaches have developed in our boys. As a board member, I hope to continue to foster unity within this organization. This is a large organization and many people are needed. I hope that as a board members, we convey the message that we need everyone, and everyone’s contributions, big or small, should continue to be encouraged. Our coaches do so much and I am so grateful for those who have taught and mentored my son so far. I want to do my best to be of help and support to them. Specifically as secretary, my goal would be to facilitate accurate and timely communication between board members, coaches and parents. Good communication can eliminate frustration at all levels.
